More stuff bout the DSB

Ok I had on my Ravelry shirt...the one that says I swatched ravelry....he said. "Oh when did you get a knitting shirt?"
He knew what it was...I love that sh*t. For that I'm making his fave oven fried chicken for dinner. I thawed chicken anyways and was gonna make stew casue well it streaches (we're on a tight budget since Mamie came) but heck I'll oven fry.

17. Who cooks dinner? Me...he has never cooked in the two years we've been together...I even take the grilling duties...I'm a really good cook. The only thing I can't make is rice.

This here is a 1936 Ford pickup truck with a 330 ci Oldsmobile motor, 4 barrell carb and a 2 speed "Jetaway" Tranny which has the speeds go and go slowly in a low gear...this is a pretty beefy piece of American Steel (and a small bondo patch on the drivers rear fender that will be cut out and repaired sometime after the 1st of the year)
I bought this Truck in Phoenix Arizona from a guy who bought it from a friend who's Dad bought it in 56. Some time in 65 the Owner worked at the Oldsmobile testing grounds and when they wrecked a brand new 65 Cutlass he pulled the motor and transmission out and put it into the 36.

It needs some work on the brakes and we've decided to pull out the rear end and replace it (in 65 it looks like they also put an Oldsmobile Rear end in that sticks out too far.)

The DSB surprised me with an early x-mas gift while I took a much needed nap this afternoon...a set of 16" wheels to replace the strange mismatched set that are on the truck at the moment. We just need on more for the spare that is mounted on the side and we have a ride! Sure the paint is shot and the tail lights don't match but this car maked up with style what it lacks in class.

Yoga....moi?

I'm going to my second Yoga class ever. It's at this place right down the street and the instructor is the same one I had last time who was really nice and understanding and patient with me and my non-limber self. I'm mentally preparing for the bake-fest that is going on tonight when I get home. I'm baking two pies for a pre thanksgiving party at the DSB's cousins house. They are the Peruvian side of his family and they always have the BEST parties at this house. I was told to either bring a desert or wine so i opted to make a desert as we're going out for dinner on actual Thanksgiving day and I won't get a chance to make anything Holiday style till x-mas day at my folks.
I'm making ginger pear pie and blue berry with frozen blueberries casue fresh are WAY to expensive and not very sweet this time of year and since they call for alot of the same ingredients so may as well make them both....I'm known for my Blueberry pie.

Scootie part 2

Scootie is back from the Scooter Doctor...I've been riding her round the neighborhood...slowly branching out as I get a bit ballsier and more confident in my riding abilities....I rode her to the liquor store on the corner to buy some soda for the DSB, of COURSE I couldn't get her to fire back up and ended up pushing her a block to a less public area so that people didn't have to listen to the Stream of obcenities flowing from my mouth. After half an hour of trying she FINALLY turned over and I rode her home to a very worried DSB.
I think I'm gonna need ALOT of practice before Mod's vs. Rockers or else I'm gonna end up driving the support truck.

Went to phoenix...can't say much about the place except that the freeways are ver nice and well maintained and is reeeeeeally really DRY there. We had a great hotel room...seriously it was freaking nice and it was a Holiday Inn of all places but it was pretty cushy and the bed had like 20 pillows on it....

Scootie!

Hey everybody! Have you met Scootie?



This is my 1978 Vespa Rally. She was Purchased 8 months ago from our friend Z...she's been sitting in the garage being in various states of broken down for the past 6 months. Ever time we fix something something else breaks...well no more. Today Scootie goes to the Scooter Doctor to find out why she starts, but dosen't run for longer thant a few seconds unless you manually feed gas into the carberator with a turkey baster...yes we did that.

So hopefully when the DSB gets home from work with the truck we're taking Scootie down to Bar Italia Classics in Van Nuys for some much needed medical attention cause...well...we have no idea what to do. I can work on a car but not a teeny piece of Italian scoot scoot. The place we're going is backed up for 3 weeks so there is a good chance Scootie won't be back till x-mas but at least she'll be back so that I can take my Motorcycle License Exam and finally be able to ride at night. So everyone (i.e. both my readers) keep Scootie in your hearts!
