Last night

Last night we went to see my friends daughters play. It was called the Laramie Project. I'm not up to tying this morning as I pulled something in my shoulder yesterday but it you'd like to read a little something on the play and the events that have followed it (Including the students being forced to stage the play off campus and why) then go HERE

Dear Mother Nature

Dear Mother (Fucker) Nature,
Do you want me to die in a horrible car wreck? Obviously you do because you're raining all over my route to Santa Maria. We're sitting here waiting for the annoying ass heavy drizzle to let up so I can actaully see out of the truck's window well enough to navigate the WET ROADS for 3 hours. I Have Bias tires....not so good in the rain, but since I live in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA for crying out loud I norrmally don't have alot of rain during car show season to deal with.
Right now I should be drinking Tequila with the Eddies but no, I'm still home waiting for you to get your act together so i can drive up there.
You suck.

Serious crunch time

Ok so it's around 8pm Los Angeles time....which means that the DSB and Nick have 7 hours to finish the 31 and get it running before they pass out from exhaustion. I ordered them a pizza and some soda hoping that that will give them the fortitude to carry on.
In other news I got a plaque back from powder coater today...looks stunning but the price is not nice.
I cold welded (glued) a bracket to the back that the DSB had made all there is to do is tap holes in the home made mounting bracket and I'll be running club colors in the window at Santa Maria....YAY!
Counting down...tick tick tick tick

My Theme Song.
By the way...if you live in the Los Angeles Area and happen to be around...catch Nu-Tra if you can. They are amazing, plus they're friends of mine.

Tea Time

Ok....I just got home from the most KICK ASS tea party ever.
My friend Michelle had a bunch of the ladies over to her swanky pad in Burbizzle for a girllie tea and croquet party. Lets just say we had champagne and I totally am a croquet shark. Maybe because I had only had three of the scrumptious peach nectar champagne cocktails miss Michelle had prepared so I had an who am I kidding, drunken croquet is the SHIT BABY!
Then we had finger sandwiches and tea and it was a blast.
I totally kicked soo much ass at croquet.
I was going to take pictures but the second I took out the camera the croquet game poopers.
No but in all seriousness it was totally fun ad I loved it.
Thanks to miss Michelle for throwing a civilized ass womping time!
In other news the truck is still running and it's a gazillion degrees in the valley. Fucking valley.

raw berry

I went to a local resturant a long time ago called the Stinking Rose which is this AWESOME place where everything is like garlic based, even the martinis. Anyways they give you these little fruit candies with your bill at the end of the meal. Like a little gummy fruit candies can cover the fact that you've just eaten 5 whole bulbs of raw garlic.
I went one time with my friend Katie and we were dividing up the candies at the end of the night and she picked up one and stared at it with this puzzled look on her face. I asked her what was up and she says, "Do you like...Raw Berry?"
It was strawberry but the printer had only printed part of the label on the wrapper. From that point on I always think of strawberries as "Raw" berries.
I love them by the way.
Imagine my delight when I got a call from the DSB...his shop made some equipment for the "Strawberry King of the SFV" and as a nice thank you they gave them about a bazillion pounds of red ripe strawberries.
What do you do with a bazillion pounds of strawberries.
First thing you do is make a Strawberry Rhubarb the recipe off the back of a box of instant tapioca, my sercet weapon in fruit pies.
Strawberry bread

Then you make Strawberry Bread (and Muffins). It's soooo nummy. Notice the lone potato in the corner...that's for me. The DSB ate at his folks tonight and I was craving a baked potato even though I normally don't like them.
Anyways after baking like Betty Freakin' Crocker all day I only made a dent in the Strawberries.
How gross is my fridge....notice the celery in the NHRA cup...we're die hard hot rodders. Anyways I'm taking some to my mom's tomorrow to try and make strawberry jam. Believe it or not my mother is an awesome canner. When we were kids she used to make and can her own chutneys and stuff. I can't can anything without risking giving everyone botulism so I'm having her do it....cause I rock like that.

Hey Ho, FO

I finished a pair of Baby Booties! Not that I have a need for Baby Booties (Though I have a friend that owns a baby but he insists on growing really fast so I fear they won't fit him) I knit a pair because I needed a break from the DSB's socks.
I used the leftover Sever Nation Army sock yarn from the illfated and mis matched 7 nation socks I pawned off on Amanda and size 00 needles. They are strudy and CUTE!
Ok so I now love this yarn. It really needed to be knit on smaller needles and now the striping effect is well....baddass. Yay Unisex colorways!
Maybe Pam would want them for her little hardcore fetus that is on the way!

New dress

I wasn't supposed to but I decided that I really deserved a new dress.
Next weekend I'm going to a tea party at my friend Michelles house and then the next weekend I have a wedding to attend. The super cute vintage sundress I bought for both occassions is falling apart. Dammitt.
So I went over to my favorite place Trashy Diva and checked out the new goodies they have.
I fell in love with this dress and FINALLY they have a material other than silk so this dress was surprisingly affordable and plus the DSB likes these dresses on me. Not too hoochie mama but a bit on the pretty and sexy side.

It's Carb-tastic

I just ate a HUGE bowl of brown rice with some veggies...
It's just me and my carbs today....mmmmmm carbs. I'm a bit laid up since hurting my leg the other day. It's just all stiff and sore for no reason, and I either deserve vodka or carbs....I chose carbs because, well it's like noon.
Also Unknown Hinson is tonight. I'll be the redhead with the limp not jumping up and down. If it's not better by monday I'm hitting the Doctor.
I'll take photos tonight....My outfit is starting to add up to be quite interesting.
The DSB surprised me with tickets a month ago...I loves that man of mine.
